Leicester Learning Services (LLS) has a successful history of providing schools with a dedicated School Improvement Adviser to act both as a critical friend and as a broker of external support.
As changes in national policy have developed, so the role has evolved to meet the needs of central and local government and of schools themselves, a role which has been based on a foundation of partnership working, trust and respect. LLS is committed to maintaining the strong partnerships it already has established with schools as well as working with new partners. This model enables us to maintain a strategic overview of all the schools we work with and to build links that continue to strengthen working relationships across the city and beyond.
The LLS Core Service comprises the following elements of support:
The Core Service is free to maintained secondary schools in Leicester but can also be purchased by schools and academies in other parts of the Midlands.
Our bespoke support service is designed to support schools that are looking to build capacity, develop effective systems and improve practice across the school in order to raise achievement. The services offered are tailored to the individual needs of schools and delivered in partnership with the school. We believe that the quality of the dialogue between the school and the School Improvement Adviser is crucial to the successful deployment of external support and, as such, we are committed to putting time and effort into this process.
Our bespoke service is open to all schools, academies and independant schools, irrespective of whether or not they are located in Leicester.
